The Paton ProMIG 350 15-4 welder inverter is designed for semi-automatic MIG/MAG welding with gas and protective mixtures, manual MMA arc welding and argon shielded TIG welding with direct current.

The design of the ProMIG 350 15-4 model (15kg spool – 4 roller feeder) provides some of the best protection against external influences on the market. This model’s rated current of 350A at a duty cycle of 70% is a result that allows intensive welding of materials without the risk of overheating. The source can be separated from the welding wire feed mechanism for convenience and safety. A distinctive feature of the PATON™ Professional Series semi-automatic machines is the high-quality, sealed, metallic wire feeder, as well as the existing KZ-2 “EURO” type connector, which has become a standard worldwide, allowing the user to change the handle at will in the future.

In an all-electronic system, the control system has absolutely all the resources of the source, within the limits of its full capacity and whatever method is used. The ‘Professional’ series is designed for industrial use, for the most demanding users.

Functions and features of the Paton ProMIG 350 (15-4) 400V welder inverter

GAS-FREE FUNCTION – WELDING WITH SELF-CONSUMING WIRE

All PATON MIG/MAG welders are adapted for welding with self-consuming wire. Such welding, as opposed to the traditional MIG/MAG welding process, takes place without shielding gas – however, this requires a special welding wire. Such wire produces its own shielding, which helps to protect the welding arc. Self-shielded wire suitable for PATON welders can be purchased here – spools of 5 kg wire will fit all wire feeders.

SOLDERING – INDUCTANCE ADJUSTMENT

Paton MIG/MAG welders of the Standard and PRO series have the possibility of brazing, thanks to the function of changing the inductance in three stages. The inductance control allows the arc characteristics to be optimised according to the thickness of the component to be welded. This function is necessary to change the speed of the current flow when changing the arc voltage. The thinner the workpiece to be welded using MIG/MAG, the greater the inductance should be (soft arc – less fusion), for thick workpieces the opposite (hard arc – more fusion).

PULSE FUNCTION IN ALL METHODS

  • Pulse in TIG welding – full control of heat entering the material – a great feature for welding stainless steel and acid-resistant steel,
  • Pulse in MMA – easier transfer of material from electrode to weld pool, better quality of welded joint,
  • Pulse in MIG/MAG mode – weld cleanly and precisely, without spatter. The ideal solution for stainless steel, aluminium, and CuSi3 brazing.

The machine features a synergic control function in pulse mode that automatically selects the optimal welding parameters, ensuring a stable arc and high weld quality.

Main advantages of the Paton ProMIG 350 15-4 400V welder inverter

  • European production
  • Electronic thermal protection system to protect all heat generating components from overheating
  • Reliability thanks to IGBT technology
  • Possibility to work with long extension cables as well as with a generator
  • Pulsed current welding in any welding method
  • Improved arc glow stability
  • 2T, 4T mode change function, gas purge from feeder function
  • In addition to protection against mains voltage surges and dips, the equipment has a stabilisation system for operation during longer phase-to-phase voltage fluctuations and allows correct operation for the voltage range from 320V to 440V
  • Two times less electricity consumption compared to traditional sources
  • Optimum penetration and correct stitch shape regardless of welding position

3-year manufacturer’s guarantee for consumers and companies

Top quality workmanship confirmed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty. The PRO series models are characterised by a compact design with a number of innovative technological solutions that increase the reliability of the equipment. Inverter reliability in dusty and humid environments has been increased.
